Pixar Unveils First Trailer For ‘Hoppers’

Pixar is hopping into bold new territory with its next big screen adventure. This morning, Disney and Pixar released the first trailer for Hoppers, a fast paced, heartwarming animated comedy that combines cutting edge technology, hilarious animal antics, and classic Pixar heart. The film is set to hit theaters on March 6, 2026.

Directed by We Bare Bears creator Daniel Chong, Hoppers stars Piper Curda as Mabel, an enthusiastic animal lover who jumps at the chance to test out a revolutionary new invention: technology that allows humans to transfer their consciousness into robotic animals and communicate with real animals in their own world.

“In Hoppers, the question we’re answering is: ‘What if we could understand and communicate with the animal world?’” said Chong in a press release accompanying the trailer. “Our main character, Mabel, gets to discover the animal kingdom as an animal, which can be weird and often hilarious. Mabel undercover in the animal world leads to a wild, roller coaster ride of a movie, with all the heart you expect from a classic Pixar film.”

The trailer introduces audiences to Mabel’s first plunge into this animal centric tech, with glimpses of her navigating the animal kingdom as one of them meeting creatures of all kinds, solving mysterious animal problems, and embracing the chaos that comes with crossing the human/animal barrier.

Hoppers is produced by Pixar veteran Nicole Paradis Grindle and features an all-star voice cast that includes Saturday Night Live alum Bobby Moynihan and Mad Men star Jon Hamm.

While the movie promises plenty of laughs and action, it’s also rooted in themes of empathy, curiosity, and the age-old desire to connect with the world around us traits that have long defined Pixar’s most beloved films.

With stunning animation, an imaginative premise, and a heartfelt message, Hoppers looks set to leap into audiences’ hearts when it debuts next spring.
