The Terminal List S2 | Life After The List INTERVIEWS

After a four-year wait, The Terminal List is back.Chris Pratt returns as Navy SEAL Commander James Reece. This season adapts Jack Carr’s second novel, True Believer, and finds Reece searching for a new purpose after finishing his list. The CIA recruits him to stop a global terrorist threat in exchange for a presidential pardon.

The season also connects directly to the prequel The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, and several of its characters return. Tom Hopper is back as Raife Hastings. Dar Salim returns as Mohammed “Mo” Farooq, the Iraqi Special Operations Forces officer and CIA contractor first seen in Dark Wolf, who is now Reece’s target, carrying out attacks with methods Reece will recognize. Joining them is Gabriel Luna as Freddy Strain, a fan favorite from the books: an elite sniper and former Navy SEAL turned CIA ground operative..

The Synopsis

From the best-selling novels of the same name, The Terminal List centers on Navy SEAL Commander JAMES REECE (Chris Pratt) as he battles unknown conspiratorial forces seeking to upend the world order. This season comes from Jack Carr’s second novel, TRUE BELIEVER, where he puts James Reece on a journey of VIOLENT REDEMPTION, finding a new purpose after finishing his list. The psychological revenge thriller of season one opens up into a globe-trotting espionage thriller taking Reece across the Indian Ocean, Mozambique, Northern Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. To clear his name, Reece must work with the CIA to stop a resurgent terrorist organization that has turned his friend and former operator, MO FAROOQ (Dar Salim), to their cause. With help from returning fan favorites like RAIFE HASTINGS (Tom Hopper), KATIE BURANEK (Constance Wu), and newcomers like FREDDY STRAIN (Gabriel Luna), Reece will uncover a conspiracy that reaches from Moscow to Langley and ties into his own family’s history.

I had the opportunity to connect with Dar Salim, Gabriel Luna and Tom Hopper to discuss The Terminal List season two. As well as separately, with the showrunner, writer and executive producer David DiGilio about what surprises the book fans can expect.
