¡Hola, mis amigos! Today the Internet graces us with a cool new International trailer for Marvel’s Black Panther (or should I say, Pantera Negra?)!
The contents of this trailer appear quite similar to the North American version, but there’s a little more exposition and info within. Andy Serkis’ Ulysses Klaue (aka Klaw) and other characters describe the mysterious nation of Wakanda, the bulletproof panther suit, and a few more details, which are frankly pretty evident from the footage. Still, it’s cool to hear the descriptions and world-building stuff.

Two bits that may or may not be new to you: our hero, T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman), describes the importance of keeping Wakanda a secret to preserve their way of life; his nemesis, Erik Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan), is apparently returning from exile to claim the Wakandan throne — by force, naturally.
Like I said, nothing too earth-shaking is revealed here. However, the expository elements help to fill in the gaps. Marvel is doing a solid job of setting-up the conflicts and establishing the film’s world, but they aren’t spoiling too, too much. For example, it appears that Klaw and Killmonger are aligned against T’Challa, while U.S. agent Everett K. Ross (Martin Freeman) appears to be playing both sides. The rest of the character dynamics and Wakandan intrigue remains murky, which is great.
We’re under three months from the film’s release! In the immortal words of Ulysses Klaw: ¡Vamos nos divertir! Look it up.
