According to Variety, the Superman star is in negotiations with Legendary Eastâ€™s â€œThe Great Wall.â€
The story will be about unlocking the mystery on how Chinaâ€™s Great Wall was constructed. It was conceived by Legendary Pictures chairman Thomas Tull and Max Brooks.
It will be the first production from the Legendary East studio, which was recently launched by Legendary Pictures and Asian investors last summer. The goal is to produce a one or two films a year.
The film will be helmed by Edward Zwick (â€œLove and Other Drugs,â€ â€œThe Last Samuraiâ€) from a script from Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz.
â€œThe Great Wallâ€ will be distributed in China and domestic distribution has not been announced at this time.
