Bill Paxton Set to Join Cast of ‘2 Guns’

After the successful telecast of History Channel’s “Hatfield & McCoys,” actor Bill Paxton may return to the big screen in Universal Pictures’ “2 Guns.”

The actor will play a high ranking CIA operative in the crime action film that also stars Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington.

The film is about a DEA agent and an undercover naval intelligence officer who ended up investigating each from a set up by the mob.

Paxton recently appeared in last year’s action flick “Haywire” and currently developing the remake of the TV series “Kung Fu.”

“2 Guns” will be directed by Baltasar Kormakur (“Contraband”) and from a script written by Blake Masters (“Brotherhood,” “Law & Order: LA”). The story is based off a graphic novel by Steven Grant.
