The Weinstein Co. released the theatrical trailer for the crime drama “Lawless” that stars Shia LaBeouf, Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Guy Pearce, Jessica Chastain and Mia Wasikowska.

The screenplay is written by Nick Cave, which is based on Matt Bondurant’s novel “The Wettest County in the World.

The story is about three brothers who made a living by bootlegging moonshine in rural Virginia during the Great Depression.

The film is directed by John Hillcoat (“The Road,” “The Proposition”).

“Lawless” will be released on August 31 this year.
