ArnoldSchwarzeneggerNow everyone wants in on the fight against zombies.

Variety has reported that Arnold Schwarzenegger will sign on to star and produce the zombie movie “Maggie.”

The movie, written by John Scott, is a Black List script set as a zombie virus spread the country. He will play a father who is on a quest to help his infected daughter as she slowly turns into a zombie.

Chloe Moretz was in talks to star as the zombie daughter, but dropped out due to scheduling conflicts.

Commercial director Henry Hobson will be at the helm of the project and will begin shooting this fall.

Schwarzenegger is back to his Hollywood roots after his political career. He recently starred in “The Last Stand,” and recently signed on for the next “Terminator” movie.

After the success of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” and Brad Pitt’s “World War Z” in theaters this weekend, audiences will have a definite desire for more zombie movies. Good move, Arnold.
