Rodriguez Tweets About ‘From Dusk Till Dawn’ On EL REY NETWORK

jwj-shorts-057fDirector Robert Rodriguez, the one-man film studio, has been talking about his upcoming TV series adaptation of From Dusk Till Dawn. The 1996 film, Rodriguez’s second feature directing project after Desperado, was written by his friend Quentin Tarantino. After a few direct-to-video sequels, Rodriguez is now preparing to launch the series on his own digital network.

Ever a rebel, with “do-it-yourself” prowess, Rodriguez likes to write, shoot, direct, and produce his own projects. He’s even built his own film facilities in Texas, called Troublemaker Studios and Troublemaker Sound. While everyone else, when it comes to digital distribution, is rushing to Netflix with offers, the auteur is sticking with his guns to debut the series on the El Rey Network.

For some information on the network, here’s a video of how it came to be.

Also, last week, he revealed a nice little easter egg that’s sure to please Tarantino fans. Big Kahuna Burger will appear in the Dusk series:
