I’m probably one of seven people who liked 2010’s PREDATORS, but unfortunately, its B-movie nature wasn’t enough to bring audiences to the theaters indroves, and as a result, the franchise went stagnant once more. This is something that the studio hopes to remedy with the latest installment, currently entitled THE PREDATOR, which is set to be co-written and directed by Shane Black of IRON MAN 3 and KISS KISS BANG BANG fame.

Details on the film have been pretty sparse. We know that Arnold Schwarzenegger has at least been talking to Shane Black, but we don’t know what his involvement in the film will be just yet. Now, if a recent quote from rapper Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson is to be trusted, we may have had our first cast member confirmed.

In an interview with DJ Enuff from Sirius XM’s Shade 45 (hat tip to AVP Galaxy), 50 Cent said the following.

“I’ll be doing some new feature films and stuff like that too. I’m gonna do PREDATOR.”

The rapper didn’t really embellish this, and the topic of conversation moved on pretty quickly, so it’s difficult to tell if he speaking out of turn, or if he was making a joke of some kind. This doesn’t seem completely out of left field. After all, 50 Cent’s already been in a number of Hollywood films like SOUTHPAW and ESCAPE PLAN, so who’s to say he won’t be able to make it to PREDATOR?

You can take a listen for yourself below. The relevant part starts at about 30 minutes into the clip.

What do you think? Is 50 Cent going to be in THE PREDATOR? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
