53rd Annual Saturn Awards To Be Held on March 8 in Los Angeles

For over five decades, The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films will honor the best in genre entertainment at the Universal Hilton in Los Angeles on March 8, 2026.

The returning host, Joel McHale (Animal Control, Community), returns for the ceremony for the fourth consecutive year.

“Each year, the Saturn Awards continue to grow, attracting even more remarkable talent. This year is no exception. Having Joel return to guide the laughs and shape the rhythm of the show ensures the kind of unforgettable experience audiences have come to expect,” stated Academy President Robert Holguin and Saturn producers Bradley and Kevin Marcus in a press statement.

Host Joel McHale added, “I’ve been amazed by the growth and evolution of this one-of-a-kind awards show, and I’m thrilled to be part of its continued rise. It’s an honor to host each year and to witness firsthand how quickly it keeps expanding.

In recent years, past winners and attendees included Keanu Reeves, Mark Hamill, Colin Farrell, Christopher Nolan, James Cameron, Nicolas Cage, Emily Blunt, Jodie Foster, Laurence Fishburne, Denis Villeneuve, Kevin Feige, James Gunn, Hiroyuki Sanada, Seth MacFarlane, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, Patrick Stewart, William Shatner, and many more.

The 2026 nominations and special honors will be announced in the next few weeks.
