A Better Look At Floronic Man Here Than On Swamp Thing

2019’2 Swamp Thing on DC Universe was never given a fair opportunity to shine. During the final episodes it’s production was put on hold and once its first episode was released it was announced that the series had been canceled. They spent all season building this world that could have been the catalyst for other magical and mystical characters from the DC Universe.

One character that we spent all season following was Jason Woodrue, played by Kevin Durand. In Swamp Thing, he is a biogeneticist that becomes fixated on unlocking the plant potential found in the swamp. This leads to his horrific transformation into the creature known as the villain Floronic Man. Sadly we only get a glimpse of him in the after-credits scene in the last episode. What a shame we won’t see him go head to head with Swamp Thing.

Concept artist Jerad S. Marantz designed the version of Floronic Man that we see in the end. Since his creation was was barely on-screen he tracked down a behind-the-scenes shot of the character and shared it on his Instagram account. You can check it out below!

This series had so much potential. It’s a shame that the end of the first season was ruined by the fact that they wanted to wrap it up. This series even had drawn critical praise, but it seemed that the studio already had its mind made up about its fate.

It follows the disgraced scientist Alec Holland that is mysteriously transformed into the creature known as the Swamp Thing. With the help of medical doctor Abby Arcane, they fight to bring down the malicious forces around the Louisiana swamp. Along with Durand the series stars Crystal Reed, Andy Bean, Derek Mears, Jennifer Beals, Henderson Wade, Will Patton, Virginia Madsen, and Jeryl Prescott.
