A Conversation With The Makeup Department Heads For Coming 2 America [Exclusive Interview]

Coming 2 America

The Amazon Original, Coming 2 America will drop this Friday, March 5th, on Amazon Prime Video. This sequel comes thirty-three years since the release of the original film, Coming to America. I would know, it’s how old I am. The film takes us back to Zamunda, where we find our dynamic duo of Akeem and Semmi. Played by Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall.

Here is the synopsis of what you can expect from Coming 2 America:

Set in the lush and royal country of Zamunda, newly-crowned King Akeem (Eddie Murphy) and his trusted confidante Semmi(Arsenio Hall) embark on an all-new hilarious adventure that has them traversing the globe from their great African nation to the borough of Queens, New York – where it all began.

Being that this film takes mostly in the Kingdom of Zamunda, the wardrobe, make-up, and sets really play an intricate role in the film. In Coming 2 America, one this is certain, the characters all look amazing. From scene to scene, everything looks glamorous, fit for the Kingdom of Zamunda. Makeup of course is very important as the two stars play multiple characters in the film. This all comes together for a great visual experience throughout the film.
