As most of you are aware, next year will see a third installment to the original Ghostbusters franchise titled, Ghostbusters 2020. Hot off the digital presses for you folks is some casting new having to do with the film as Variety is reporting that Logan Kim and Celeste O’Connor. Both are new to the world of acting, with only a credit or two to their names.

Kim and O’Connor join a cast that not long ago added younger stars Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) and Mckenna Grace (Fuller House, Designated Survivor), as well as one of the Internet’s next potential boyfriends in Paul Rudd.

Director Jason Reitman had the following to say about the casting.

“Celeste and Logan are rare talents and we’re all grateful that they’ll be lending their unique voices to GB20.”

While we’re still in the early stages of the film, it does appear that the focus will be on characters new to the franchise, and perhaps I’, in the minority, but I would rather watch a film that had a focus on  Venkman, Stanz, and, Zedmore, as opposed to a passing the torch type situation. Though, I suppose both could be achieved.
