There is a specific lure of watching Christmas horror films from the safety of your home drinking hot cocoa by a fireplace. The warmth of the holidays mixed with the terror makes it an exciting combo as audiences have a chance to view a hopeful cult classic A Creature Was Stirring.
The film is centered around a nurse (Chrissy Metz) who keeps her troubled daughter (Annalise Basso) on a tightly controlled regimen of experimental drugs, but secrets unravel when uninvited strangers enter her home. During a lethal blizzard, the burglars attempt to rob the home on Christmas and stumble upon a family secret—with monstrous consequences.
The film also stars Scout Taylor-Compton and Connor Paolo. Damien LeVeck directed the movie from the screenplay by Shannon Wells.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta chatted with director Damien LeVeck along with actors Scout Taylor-Compton and Connor Paolo on their roles, Christmas horror movies, on-set challenges, colors, and cinematography.
Damien LeVeck made his directorial debut with an exorcist film, The Cleansing Hour, in 2019, which starred Ryan Guzman and Kyle Gallner.
Scout Taylor-Compton is an actress who is best known for starring in the horror genre. She was best known for playing Laurie Strode in the 2007 Halloween remake and its 2009 sequel. She appeared in The Runaways in 2010.
Conor Paolo is best known as Eric van de Woodsen in The CW’s Gossip Girl and as Declan Porter in ABC’s Revenge. He appeared in two Oliver Stone films with Alexander and the World Trade Center.
A Creature Was Stirring is in select theaters tomorrow, December 8th. It follows with a VOD release on Tuesday, December 12th.
