A Kaiju Christmas is a children’s book for all ages based on The Night Before Christmas, but instead of a Santa flying down to drop off presents—a giant monster snowman appears through an extra-dimensional portal to ruin the holidays! And it’s up to a group of brave children to save Christmas around the world!

LRM Online’s Gig Patta talked with writer Samuel Haine and artist John Schrad about this children’s book project from its origination, holidays, the approach for the artwork, and its Kickstarter campaign for distribution.
Samuel Haine wrote the critically-acclaimed Slow City Blues. This series follows Detective John Loris, who gets trapped inside his imagination after a horrible accident, as his first comic series. He has four new titles that’ll be released in six months.
John Schrad is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker and illustrator for the past fifteen years. He had done concept art, graphic design, and storyboarding for independent features hand-in-hand with his passion for film production.
