The Enforcer Has Antonio Banderas Betraying The Mob

Antonio Banderas for The Enforcer

No doubt Antonio Banderas is a great action star. His tough attitude and fearless glare make him the perfect hero or villain in any film. In The Enforcer, Banderas is an anti-hero who seeks to save a young girl from his employers.

The film stars Antonio Banderas (The Mask of Zorro, The Skin I Live In), Kate Bosworth (Superman Returns, Win a Date with Tad Hamilton), Mojean Aria (See, Reminiscence), Zolee Griggs (Bride Wars, Archenemy), and Alexis Ren (The Last Day on Earth, Dotty & Soul) and 2 Chainz (The First Purge, Fast & Furious 6).

Richard Hughes (Punk, Man) directed the movie from the screenplay written by W. Peter Iliff (Point Break, Varsity Blues).

Here is the official synopsis:

Miami’s top mob enforcer Cuda (Antonio Banderas), sacrifices it all to tear down the criminal organization he’s spent his whole life building up when he discovers his boss Estelle (Kate Bosworth) is putting a young runaway’s life in grave danger. Now he has one last chance to make up for his past and find redemption—both for himself and his family—before the mob hunts him down for his betrayal.

This is certainly one of those guilty pleasure movies that feature Antonio Banderas in a gritty, violent role as a bad guy with a change of heart. We’ve seen these movies before, but this formula works as we love to cheer for these types of heroes on screen.

The Enforcer is in select theaters and On Demand on September 23.
