A Legit Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker Script Popped Up On Ebay

For all the bad things you can say about Disney, you have to commend them. They actually do a pretty solid job of ensuring the stories of a lot of their properties don’t make it online. Up until the movie actually hit, there were tons of supposed leaks on Avengers: Endgame, but the main core aspects of the story, the time travel mechanics, and the ending were all left unspoiled for many until the very end.

To put it simply, Disney has it down when it comes to secrecy. There may be tons of leaks for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, but I always have my doubts with these Reddit leakers. All that aside, not everyone’s perfect, and apparently, there was a leak that led to an entire Rise of Skywalker script ending up on Ebay.

“One of our actors, I won’t say which one — I want to, but I won’t — left it under their bed and it was found by someone who was cleaning their place,” Abrams said on Good Morning America on Monday. “And it was given to someone else, who then went to sell it on Ebay…and so [Disney] got it back before it was sold.”

Eesh. You have to imagine all the sleep that was lost when trying to reacquire that script. One has to wonder if the House of Mouse had a break off a few kneecaps to swear the seller to silence over the contents of the script. We know you don’t mess around with Disney, especially when it comes to their big tentpole movies.

This was evidenced by an interview earlier this year actress Emma Fuhrmann — who plays the older version of Scott Lang’s daughter in Endgame — gave to ComicBook.com.

“So, I had gotten to Atlanta to film, and there was this gorgeous sunset,” Fuhrmann told the outlet this past July. “I took a picture of the sunset and posted it on my Instagram story, and I just tagged the location, Atlanta, Georgia.”

Fuhrmann continued, “The next day, head of security came to my trailer and talked to me about how I can’t post that. I was like, ‘Well, I wasn’t going to say I was on set of you know, Endgame or anything,’ and they were like, ‘No, we understand, you’re not the first person we had to talk to about this today, but I’ve had people calling me all day trying to find out where you’re going to be filming.”

In short…they don’t mess around.
