Lionsgate has treated us to a brand spankin’ new trailer for the latest iteration Robin Hood. The film, which stars Taron Egerton and Oscar winner Jamie Foxx, as the famous duo Robin Hood and Little John is seriously shaping up to be a fantastic ride. This latest trailer shows Foxx’s Little John is more of a mentor to Egerton’s Robin Hood as opposed to simply being a friend and partner in crime.

While I would agree this version of the character has similarties to the CW’s Arrow, I feel like Robin Hood’s presence in this film is much more Batman like.

If you ask me, this film is theater worthy. The action looks great and you can already sense a great deal of chemistry between Egerton and Foxx. While all of us have been duped by trailers in the past, I don’t think this is the case with Robin Hood, this looks a very fun and entertaining ride.

Along with Taron Egerton and Jamie Foxx, Robin Hood stars Eve Hewson as Maid Marion, Jamie Dornan as Will Scarlet, and the always welcome Ben Mendelsohn as the infamous Sheriff of Nottingham. Directing the film is Otto Bathurst from a screenplay written by David James Kelly and Ben Chandler.
