Horror films, television series, and comics are a lot of fun. The genre can be interpreted in so many different ways. One of my favorite ways horror stories are depicted is through anthology series. You have classic series like Tales from the Crypt. Or if your younger, Goosebumps (not as scary but fun) offer us a variety of stories episode to episode that keep things interesting.

Soon a new horror anthology series will be released titled, Very Frightening Tales. This is a half-hour series that contains a compilation of horror shorts that include some of your favorite celebrities. The series is being billed as a cross between the infamous Night Gallery and Tales from the Crypt.

The first story in Very Frighting Tales that you’ll see is titled, The Curse of Stonehill. You can check out the synopsis below!

Madison Ekstrand stars in the first episode, “The Curse of Stonehill,” as Lauren Foley, an adoptee who while searching for information about her birth mother finds herself at a haunted estate with the caretaker, Edward Barnes, played by Michael Paré (Eddie and the Cruisers). She traveled to Los Angeles to film the series in an actual historic haunted estate called Sunny Gables.

This short is a good start for the series as it has already won awards at film festivals. These include a Silver Thriller Award from the Hollywood Gold Awards. As well as an honorable mention from the New York Movie Awards.

LRM Online had the opportunity to talk with one of the recurring stars of Very Frightening Tales, Madison Ekstrand. During our conversation with the teenage actress, we talked about her experience taking on a variety of roles. As well as her experience having to take on acting and going to class.
