A Wrinkle In Time Gets New TV Spot & Motion Posters

Disney has just released a bunch of new marketing material for their upcoming fantasy epic A Wrinkle in Time. This time-bending flick from Ava DuVernay just got a new TV spot, which you can check out above. In addition to the trippy spot, we also got another look at characters Mrs. Which, Mrs. Whatsit, and Mrs. Who, played by Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, and Mindy Kaling, respectively.

Below is the official synopsis for a Wrinkle in Time:

“From visionary director Ava DuVernay comes Disney’s A Wrinkle in Time, an epic adventure based on Madeleine L’Engle’s timeless classic which takes audiences across dimensions of time and space, examining the nature of darkness versus light and, ultimately, the triumph of love. Through one girl’s transformative journey led by three celestial guides, we discover that strength comes from embracing one’s individuality and that the best way to triumph over fear is to travel by one’s own light.”

While this new material isn’t anything earth-shattering, it is a fitting continuation of the shiny, glossy, polished-looking aesthetic of the film, which is very pleasing to look at, I must say. Considering the strengths of the source material, the spectacle nature of the film, and its visionary director, this is definitely one of those films I’m keeping an eye on.
