The latest Barside Buzz is that Adam Driver is in final talks for Reed Richards. Plus we have some new Sue casting rumors for the Fantastic Four movie to share also. First though, we will start with Driver. Danile RPK said on his Patreon service that he’s heard Adam Driver is in final talks to play the MCU Reed Richards in Fantastic Four. Driver was one of several names rumored to be in talks for the role of Reed and it seems like things may have firmed up recently.
Alongside Daniel RPK another insider, MTTSH, has backed up the claim and said Driver is most likely going to be Reed in the MCU.

This is by no means official confirmation, but you get the feeling maybe Driver has won the role. I love Driver as an actor, so happy days as far as I’m concerned. As for Sue, it seems like there are still quite a few contenders. However rumors are that the casting announcement could be within weeks and thus we have a revised group of front runners.
Sue Storm
Jodie Comer is apparently still in the mix, but several insiders say Mila Kunis is now in the running. Grace Randolph tweeted that she’s heard its down to Vanessa Kirby, Mila Kunis and Jodie Comer.

Whilst no back up for Kirby, Randolph did get some back up from MTTSH on Kunis. Comer had already been tipped a long time ago.
I hear the Mila Kunis thing is true. But just talks for now. They are close to casting Sue. Probably next week

I’m not one to usually share stories from Randolph, the fact MTTSH backed this up is relevant. I will say I think we are going to find out soon. Driver being favorite previously, it makes sense that’s moved forward and that the Sue casting must be close behind.

As for which I would prefer? Hard to say, as for me I’ve seen far more of Comer on British TV than I have the other two. Purely on looks I have to say Comer, but that’s hardly the most important factor. I know Comer can deliver as an actor and perhaps that’s more why I’m leaning that direction. Luckily, if you’re not a fan of my choice, not to worry. Marvel doesn’t give two hoots what I think anyway.
