Redemption? Kylo Ren don’t need no stinkin’ redemption. Those are the words of the actor who plays the troubled Force user in Disney’s much loved, much hated, and soon to be completed sequel trilogy. Redemption has always played a huge role in star wars but as we’ve come to learn, the sequel trilogy is its own animal.
Driver recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly while promoting the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. You can check out what he had to say about Kylo Ren below.
“[Kylo Ren] has a different identity, a different definition of what redemption is, he’s already been redeemed in his story. I don’t think there is a thought of redemption. He doesn’t have an outside lens of the events, you know — you know what I mean? That’s more of an outsider’s view of his world.”

Personally I don’t think he’s been redeemed, not in the traditional sense anyway. Kylo is an odd figure within the world of Star Wars, if you ask me he is still yet to find his place in a galaxy far, far away. Hopefully, with the upcoming film intent of wrapping up the entire nine-film saga, Kylo’s story will also find it’s center.
Remember this little gem?
