Insidious: The Last Key: Adam Robitel and Leigh Whannell On Success and Development

In the film, the brilliant parapsychologist faces her most fearsome and personal haunting yet: in her own family home.

A successful franchise is usually marked as a trilogy. However, Insidious, has gone further with a fourth movie in the series.

Dr. Elise Rainier, the famed parapsychologist, returns for the next chapter of Insidious franchise with the prequel Insidious: The Last Key. She faces her original hauntings at where it all began–her own childhood home.

The film stars Lin Shaye, Leigh Whannell, Angus Sampson, Kirk Acevedo, Caitlin Gerard, Spencer Locke and Josh Stewart.

Last week, there was a special launch party for the Digital HD, Blu-ray and DVD release of Insidious: The Last Key at The Victorian in Santa Monica. The event featured original props from the movie and a presentation of deleted scenes from the Blu-ray.

LRM Online sat down with director Adam Robitel and writer/actor Leigh Whannell on their development of this next chapter
