Adam Sandler Re-Ups Netflix Deal For Four More Films

Hopefully you have your Jack & Jill hoodie and Ridiculous Six mugs ready to go, because there’s a lot more prime Netflix and Adam Sandler content coming your way. And I’m not talking about the Uncut Gems variety. The comedian has already produced more films for the streamer than I can count, and his latest one, Murder Mystery, ended up being their most popular 2019 release in the U.S., which is saying something given the breadth of content.

Sandler has re-upped his deal with Netflix in the past, so it’s not exactly a huge surprise that he’s doing it once again for four more movies. In addition to that, it appears that one of these movies will be an animated one Sandler will write, produce, and star in.

“Whether you know him as Sandman, the Water Boy, Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Nick Spitz or simply Adam, one thing is clear: our members can’t get enough of him,” said Netflix chief Ted Sarandos. “They love his stories and his humor, as we saw with Murder Mystery. So I could not be more excited to extend our partnership with Adam and the Happy Madison team and deliver more laughs around the world.”

I’ll admit, I fell off Adam Sandler hard after the ‘90s, and the only one of his movies I’ve watched in recent memory is Murder Mystery, which I actually found to be cute and harmless. Netflix does seem to be the perfect place for him, so it’s hard for me to feel anything negative about this continued arrangement.
