According to DCU boss James Gunn Adria Arjona would be a great Wonder Woman, plus Superman and Batman may have met already. Gunn is obviously promoting his studios new movie Superman, also directed by him. As such he recently spoke to Extra TV.
Gunn was asked about a fuss some fans made online that he had begun to follow Adria Arjona (Andor) in social media. However, Gunn points out what most fans missed, that he’s always followed her. Gunn gave Arjona her first proper movie role in The Belko Experiment. Arjona is heavily fan cast as the DCU’s Wonder Woman. Gunn has also confirmed that a Wonder Woman movie is being written for the DCU.
Gunn also points out that he agrees Arjona would make a great Diana/Wonder Woman.
“You know, I follow Adria on Instagram, and everyone came out, ‘He just followed her. That means she’s Wonder Woman.’ She’d be a great Wonder Woman, by the way. But she was in a movie I made, seven years ago. We’ve been friends and have known each other since that time. So, I followed her then, I didn’t just follow her [recently].”
Arjona knows Gunn, she’s getting great acclaim for her role in Andor and she’s on the rise. Can’t think of a better option, but it’s not my call.

In the same interview Gunn was asked what a first meeting between the DCU’s Superman and Batman could look like. How would Superman react to Batman? However, Gunn says he’s not so sure that hasn’t happened already by this point in the DCU.
“Well first of all, we don’t know if he’s already seen a man dressed up as a bat. But I think that he’d probably see a kindred spirit in that [here’s] another crazy person wearing a crazy costume [albeit] with a very different intent.”
It actually might make sense that they have met already. Superman has been active for 3 years in the DCU by the time of Superman. Given Bruce is usually older than Clark, plus rumors Batman’s son Damian will be Robin, it makes sense Batman has bene around for maybe even longer than Supes.
I guess that’s up to Gunn to decide down the line.
