The folks over at Bespin Bulletin have an Ahsoka filming update as well as some images for sets being built. Principal Photography has not yet begun on Ahsoka, that we know. However we at LRM have been saying for a few weeks that some filming has taken place. It’s just not with any of the main cast. Whilst we cannot show the images from BB without permission, we can describe them. You can also click the link above and go and take a look at the images from the source themselves.
So far, the best description I can give is that it looks like they are building the ruins of some Roman temple. Obviously that’s in Earth terms and not Star Wars. Far I know the Romans never invaded the GFFA, but who knows, they did get around? You can see what looks like broken columns of pale stone. The latest news we have had is that principal should begin sometime within the next week at the latest. Here is what was said by the outlet, sans the images.
Currently I do not know if filming has begun, but they’ve started work on creating sets at the train yard filming location used for The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Obi-Wan Kenobi. I was told over three weeks ago that the sets due to be constructed at the train yard appear to be some kind of temple ruins, perhaps a Jedi temple, with sources telling me the set looks like ancient Roman ruins. Last week I managed to get a glimpse of the set being built and I’ve included some images below so you can get an idea as to what I’m describing.

As said, LRM has heard some filming has taken place prior to this, but not principal. Whether that status changes this week we wait to hear for sure. However it is clear that Ahsoka if it hasn’t already started, will do so soon. Currently there are no speculations I can make as to what these sets will be used for. We have virtually no details yet around Ahsoka other than some casting news.
I guess we may start to get a few more details as filming kicks off. However who can say for certain? If the majority of the show is filmed in a closed stage using The Volume then we won’t get too much as per Boba Fett and Mando filming.
What do you think of this Ahsoka filming update now that sets being built for the show? Let us know wherever you prefer as always.
