Everything is set up for an Ahsoka Season 2, but now a trade says Ahsoka Season 2 is a conversation, and no more, yet. The information comes from Deadline‘s coverage of the Ahsoka Season finale. I’ll be reviewing it later. However, in their coverage there is an interesting comment around where Season 2 of the show stands?
After commenting on how the finale set’s up a Season 2, the trade warned that one is guaranteed yet.
“However, we hear that Ahsoka season 2 is more of a reality in the conversation, but nothing is locked yet. Tonight there were no placards teasing that Ahsoka would return in the immediate future. Natch, the ending WGA strike and the ongoing actors strike has put off production for some time.”
It could also be a case of Lucasfilm/Disney waiting to see viewing figures before greenlighting a Season 2. In my experience Dave Filoni’s stories start slow, and I usually prefer second seasons onward. That’s about my only hope for Ahsoka season 2 as I thought Season 1 was on the whole bang average.

I dislike unfinished stories though, so I hope Ahsoka does get a second Season. It seems like some of the characters stories could be wrapped up elsewhere (Mando, Boba Fett, MandoVerse movie etc), however others less so give where things ended.
Last I heard Ahsoka was in the top 10 for streaming shows, but honestly hitting the top 10 isn’t so magnificent when you look at the shows beating it week in week out. Then again, I’m hardly an expert and it depends who’s figures you look at. I was personally more excited to tune into Only Murders in the Building than Ahsoka each week on Disney+.
But it was decent enough for me to tune in each weekly and like most Filoni shows I’m keen to see where it goes.
So, Deadline says Ahsoka Season 2 is a conversation, and no more, yet. What do you think of this news? Do you want an Ahsoka Season 2?
