When it comes to Marvel we have gotten used to the cookie-cutter style from Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios aka Disney. Which has worked for over ten years, so if it’s not broken, why fix it? Now with their Disney+ series also featuring the same tones, we are lucky that Hulu is giving us something far out in the left field. The new stop-motion series Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K.
This M.O.D.O.K. series is a lot of fun and very different from everything else Marvel is currently offering. In a way, it’s a strange pallet cleanser to show that they too can have some fun. It has been imagined as a parody of half-hour sitcoms and is filled with all kinds of Marvel Easter eggs.
Here is the synopsis for Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K.
The megalomaniacal supervillain M.O.D.O.K. (Patton Oswalt) has long pursued his dream of one day conquering the world. But after years of setbacks and failures fighting the Earth’s mightiest heroes, M.O.D.O.K. has run his evil organization A.I.M. into the ground. Ousted as A.I.M.’s leader, while also dealing with his crumbling marriage and family life, the Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing is set to confront his greatest challenge yet: a midlife crisis… THAT WILL SHAKE THE UNIVERSE TO ITS CORE!

Ahead of it’s release, LRM Online’s Emmanuel Gomez talked with one of the stars lending her voice to the series, Aimee Garcia. She is the voice of Jodie, M.O.D.O.K.’s wife and mother to his children. As she pursues her mommy-blog she also begins to claim her independence. Unfortunately one of the things that she has decided to let go is M.O.D.O.K. During our conversation, we talk about her character and her excitement to be part of such a weird Marvel project. She also hints at us on some creator-own things that she is working on.
