Alan Tudyk Joins DC Universe’s Doom Patrol

The upcoming DC streaming service DC Universe now has a street date — September 15 — with their flagship series Titans launching in October. But don’t think that’s the only thing they have up their sleeve. There are a handful of other titles on the way, but one other major live-action project headed out way is none other than Doom Patrol.

We already know that Eric Morden aka Mr. Nobody will be the main baddie in this series, but now the network has locked down a pretty major name for the show in the form of Alan Tudyk. If you don’t know who that is, then I suggest you go back and watch such classics as Firefly, A Knight’s Tale, and every Disney animated film for the past decade or so, as he’s had a hand in pretty much all of those.

Given Tudyk’s acting chops, this is a role I expect him to eat up as only some of his caliber can. Here’s the description Deadline gives of his character:

“After exposure to unknown experiments by ex-Nazis in post-war Paraguay, the man formerly known as Eric Morden emerges as a living shadow able to drain the sanity of others as the enigmatic, and totally insane, Mr. Nobody.”

Doom Patrol is coming from Greg Berlanti, the man behind the highly-successful Arrowverse on The CW, so let’s hope he can work up even better magic now that there are fewer limits.
