Alan Wake 2 Reportedly In Development | Barside Buzz

A new rumor says that Alan Wake 2 is reportedly in development from Remedy Entertainment. Last year it was announced that Remedy, who made Alan Wake and Control had signed a deal to publish its next two multi-platform titles with Epic Games. DLC expansion for Control essentially linked it to the world of Alan Wake. This fulfilled Remedy’s vision for an interconnected world containing separate stand alone games.

Now Jeff Grubb of VentureBeat shared on Twitch recently that he think one of those two games Remedy is working on is Alan Wake 2. This, if true, will be celebrated by fans of Alan Wake who often hail the game as one of the best ever made. Grubb is pretty reliable when it comes to games scoops and rumors, so it sounds good. Personally I have never played Alan Wake, but I have friends who have an can’t wait for a sequel. It would be crazy for Remedy to not make an Alan Wake 2 at this point.

Alan Wake was released way back in the PS360 generation, so it looks a little dated to me. However I have always meant to play the game at least once. I will have to make sure I schedule some time with the first game before the second one arrives. That is of course IF Alan Wake 2 gets announced officially at some point.

The story of Alan Wake follows the best-selling thriller novelist as he tries to uncover the mystery behind his wife’s disappearance during a vacation in the small fictional town of Bright Falls, Washington. At the same time Alan is experiencing events from the plot in his latest novel, which he cannot remember writing, coming to life.

Are you excited for Alan Wake 2? Any fans of the original against this idea at all? As always, leave any thoughts below.
