Ali Wong Joins The Cast Of Birds Of Prey

The Warner Bros. film now known as Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn is continuing to add to their growing cast. We know that the film centered around the group of female heroes and villains will star Margot Robbie, who will be reprising her role as Harley Quinn, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress and Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya.

Speaking of Montoya, TheWrap is reporting that Ali Wong has been added to the cast of Birds of Prey in a supporting role as an associate of Montoya in Gotham law enforcement, not much else is currently known about her role. Wong is best known for her stand up comedy special that you can find over at Netflix which are titled Baby Cobra and Hard Knock Wife. She is also a series regular on the ABC comedy American Housewife. Also,  they are reporting that Robert Catrini has also been added in an undisclosed role.

Birds of Prey is being directed by Cathy Yan, based on a script that was written by Christina Hodson, who is also writing Batgirl. It will be produced by Kroll & Co. Entertainment’s Sue Kroll, Clubhouse Pictures’ Bryan Unkless and Robbie’s LuckyChap Entertainment.

It would seem probable that Wong’s character will add a bit more comedy to the film, which would be great. What are your thoughts of Wong joining Birds of Prey? Let us know in the comment section below!
