Alien: Romulus Title Made Official Plus A Weird Poster For The Movie

No big surprises here as the Alien: Romulus title is made official, plus we get a very weird poster for the upcoming Fede Alvarez movie. 20th Century Studios has released some official information on the upcoming Alien movie. Though, not much. Outside of the now official title we have a small synopsis below.

“Young people from a distant world must face the most terrifying life form in the universe.”

Practically writes itself, so I am hoping for something beyond what that synopsis promises. Guess we will find out soon enough as Alien: Romulus is released on August 16th.

We know the events of Alien: Romulus take place in between Alien and Aliens in the timeline. Though that is a whopping 57 years to play within. I absolutely loved the story for the video game Alien: Isolation which was set around 20 years or so after Alien. How much Romulus will fit into the others is hard to say, it’s being called a reboot by the studio.

We also have this rather weird poster for the movie. Check it out.

I’m not sure what to say other than, this is weird as heck. How young are the people who find these Xenomorphs ha? Is this going to be a cross between Boss Baby and Alien, the crossover no one knew they needed? I think it more likely there is some thematic element to the movie we don’t know about yet. What that may be, your guess is as good as mine.

Am I going to a theatre to see this movie or waiting till it hits Disney+? I think that depends on the trailers when we get them. If I knew I was getting Alien or Aliens quality it would not even be a question. But I felt cheated out of my ticket for Alien: Covenant, so we shall see.

What do you think as Alien: Romulus finally gets officially confirmed as the title? What do you think about that weird-ass Romulus poster? Thoughts below as always.
