I think we all know Pedro Pascal is playing Reed Richards in Fantastic Four however it has probably been confirmed by director Matt Shakman. Some fan art of Pedro as Reed was picked up and shared online on Instagram by Shakman. Pretty weird thing to do. What is less weird is the fact that post no longer exists. In fact the whole account of Shakman seems to have been wiped on Insta.
My guess is that people started sharing this was Shakman officially saying Pascal, Marvel were quick to advise him to remove it. I would be absolutely shocked if Pascal isn’t Reed at this point. Rumors are he was offered and accepted the role, and not just Barside Buzz, but actual trades reported he was offered the role.

It’s now a case of waiting for the official announcement on the cast. I expect at this point, the first time we see them officially will be at SDCC this year. However, I think we are pretty confident the cast is now signed on. Pascal is Reed, Vanessa Kirby is Sue, Joseph Quinn is Johnny and Ebon Moss-Bachrach is Ben. I seriously doubt there will be any shocks when the cast step out in Hall H this year.
Not huge news here as we all knew Pascal was Reed anyway, but it simply adds another layer of authenticity to those claims.
Still looking forward to Fantastic Four greatly and just hope the movie is half as cool as what I have pictured in my head. Sadly with production now not expected to begin until the latter half of this year, I really can’t see Fantastic Four making that May, 2025 slot. Though as per the related article above. That is the most up to date Disney slate currently. I expect Marvel’s slate to change come SDCC though.
