Alien – Sigourney Weaver Isn’t Sure Her Ellen Ripley Character Wants Another Adventure

Sigourney Weaver suggests she is done playing Ripley in the Alien franchise for good.

The Alien franchise is one of cinema’s most beloved.  The movie series also has one of the screen’s greatest heroes in Sigourney Weaver’s Ellen Ripley. As iconic as Han Solo, Indiana Jones (nice job Mr. Ford), and really any other character that comes to mind.

As you may have heard, director Ridley Scott has an idea for another entry into the franchise. The star of the franchise isn’t so sure, check out what Weaver had to say during an interview with Empire below

“I don’t know. Ridley has gone in a different direction. Maybe Ripley has done her bit. She deserves a rest.”

What Weaver had to say above could prove to be an interesting angle for the character to return. Though I have to agree Ripley does deserve some relaxation and maybe even a nice clam retirement.

I enjoy the films, but I’ve never been a huge fan of the series. I understand what the franchise means to film and why people love them. Admittedly, it’s been a while since I took in a viewing of the films, so I may start that tonight Though my likings are more Star Wars, Indy, Pirates, Potter, and of course Back to the Future.
