Alita: Battle Angel – New Clip And Music Video Hit

Alita: Battle Angel is in its final stretch of marketing, and with that, they are starting to release more and more of their marketing. We’ve already seen a few featurettes for the movie, where they really break down the visual spectacle we got going on here, and today we have a couple new treats in form of a one-minute clip and music video.

In the clip above, we see the titular Alita sitting in her room, pondering her existence. At this point in the story, we can imagine the seeds of doubt being planted in her identity and her beginning to question the stories told by her “father.” She then starts to stand up and do some martial arts moves in the mirror. While there’s not a whole lot to chew on here, it’s hard not to admire the VFX work that goes into her synthetic body, which features fully visible joints. It’s super cool.

Next is a music video below from artist Dua Lipa singing “Swan Song,” which comes from the official Alita: Battle Angel soundtrack. The video is shot in various similar-looking locations in the movie, and even features the artist fighting alongside the Alita character.

Below is the official synopsis for Alita: Battle Angel:

“From visionary filmmakers James Cameron (AVATAR) and Robert Rodriguez (SIN CITY), comes ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL, an epic adventure of hope and empowerment. When Alita (Rosa Salazar) awakens with no memory of who she is in a future world she does not recognize, she is taken in by Ido (Christoph Waltz), a compassionate doctor who realizes that somewhere in this abandoned cyborg shell is the heart and soul of a young woman with an extraordinary past. As Alita learns to navigate her new life and the treacherous streets of Iron City, Ido tries to shield her from her mysterious history while her street-smart new friend Hugo (Keean Johnson) offers instead to help trigger her memories. But it is only when the deadly and corrupt forces that run the city come after Alita that she discovers a clue to her past – she has unique fighting abilities that those in power will stop at nothing to control. If she can stay out of their grasp, she could be the key to saving her friends, her family and the world she’s grown to love.”

Alita: Battle Angel hits theaters on February 14, 2019.
