Want somewhere to see all Star Wars reveals from the Disney Investor Day stream? Look no further!
Yesterday was absolutely jam packed with Disney news from their Investor Day stream. LRM Covered the event live on YouTube and social media, so this is a round up of everything revealed from the Star Wars Universe, and there was a lot.
Movies
We already knew Taiki Waititi’s Star Wars movie was coming, but nothing else had been revealed movie wise. Firstly, we got some confirmation that Waititi’s movie would be set in a different era, whether forward or backwards is unknown. However Lucasfilm also threw us a curve ball. Rogue Squadron was announced, and directed by Patty Jenkins. Check out the reveal Tweet from Jenkins below.

I have to say that Rogue Squadron does get me excited! I loved the X-Wing books from Michael A. Stackpole and the author himself was pumped about this new movie. Rogue Squadron hits theaters around Christmas, 2023.
Disney+
The vast majority of new content announced for for the Disney+ streaming site. Disney announced that 10 new shows would be coming to Disney+ from the Star Wars brand. Here is what was announced, so let’s begin with what we already mostly knew. Andor and Obi-Wan Kenobi are the official titles of the shows about characters Cassian Andor and Obi-Wan respectively. We also have new title images for both which you can see above and below this paragraph.
Some brief footage of Andor was shown, but not much. The biggest reveal for Obi-Wan Kenobi was that Hayden Christensen is now officially back as Darth Vader. You may well remember that LRM were the first outlet to reveal this information some months ago, so it’s great for us personally to have this news confirmed. Can’t wait to hear and see more about both of these shows. We also saw a new trailer for The Bad Batch which Seth has already posted on LRM, you can check that in the related link below. However, now onto what was merely rumor.

Ahsoka
Finally we have conformation that Rosario Dawson will continue to play Ahsoka Tano in the Ahsoka show. This one was long rumored and our own source had told us about this one too. We know that Ahsoka is set during the same time period as The Mandalorian. Ahsoka will be connected, not only to The Mandalorian, but also the following.
Rangers of the New Republic
We also got a Rangers of the New Republic show announced. Whilst details remain sparse, we know that Rangers will tie in with both Ahsoka and The Mandalorian. Disney said that these shows will all be building to some big event. What exactly that big event is remains to be seen. I’ll guess that this show will feature the likes of Cara Dune and Bo-Katan plus more. LRM heard a show was coming with both these characters and the description of this show makes us think this is what our source was referring to?
The Acolyte
Finally we know what Leslye Headland is working on and this one sounds mysterious. The Acolyte also represents the first live-action High Republic project.
Leslye Headland brings a new @StarWars series to @DisneyPlus with The Acolyte. “The Acolyte” is a mystery-thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era.

All of these Star Wars reveals are incredibly exciting and I cannot wait to find out more about it. I’ll also guess that there is more on the way which Lucasfilm has not yet shared. A Boba Fett prequel mini-series is expected next year, perhaps being kept as a surprise? We also know The Mandalorian Season 3 is announced for Christmas, 2021. As far as our source goes, they told us an Ezra Bridger/Thrawn show was also coming. I’m guessing that one is a little bit further down the line for now. I have to trust our source, because look at how much good information they gave us about all of yesterday’s reveals?
