The Trailer For Star Wars: The Bad Batch Doesn’t Disappoint

Among the exciting announcements from Disney, today came the trailer for The Clone Wars spin-off series, Star Wars: The Bad Batch. Appearing in the final season of Clone Wars, Clone Force 99, better known as The Bad Batch made quite the impression on fans.

With unusual talents and bad-ass names like Hunter, Wrecker, Crosshair, and Tech it wasn’t difficult for fans to fall in love with them. Make no mistake this regiment of exiled clone troopers are as elite a unit as they come. With their wide range of unique abilities, they haven’t taken on a mission they couldn’t complete.

The series will follow the adventures of the lovable outcasts who are labeled as ‘defective.’ But from a certain point of view, these perceived defects are actually enhancements. Amplifying their particular set of skills, making them extremely effective. These guys were destined for their own series from the beginning. Through their missions, we fans will get to see more from the era of The Clone Wars.

I’ve questioned and criticized many of Disney’s decisions with Star Wars. The sequel trilogy often finds itself a target of mine. However, I do love other decisions they’ve made with the franchise. And I give them credit where it’s due. Such is the case with giving The Bad Batch their own series.
