Amazon Picks Up ‘Expanse’ For Sixth And Final Season

On the heels of the fifth season premiere of The Expanse, Amazon Studios today announced it has ordered a sixth and final season of the fan-favorite Amazon Original series. The series, based on James S.A. Corey’s best-selling books, has achieved what most shows couldn’t and avoid a full cancellation after Syfy dropped the show after its third season.  There was enough of a fan response that Amazon Studios picked up the series to continue the show. The anticipated fifth season, which will premiere December 16th on Amazon Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
