For director and writer Diego Hallivis, American Carnage is a horror story based on the political events at the border and the treatment of immigrants in this country.
The film stars Jorge Lendeborg Jr. (Bumblebee, Spider-Man: Homecoming), Jenna Ortega (Scream, X), Allen Maldonado (Heels, The Wonder Years), Bella Ortiz (Our Ladies of Brooklyn, Chicago Fire), Jorge Diaz (Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones, The Long Road Home), Yumarie Morales (The Dropout, The Shrink Next Door), Catherine McCafferty (Bothered), with Brett Cullen (Ghost Rider, Joker) and Eric Dane (X-Men: The Last Stand, Grey’s Anatomy).
Here is the official synopsis:
After a governor issues an executive order to arrest the children of undocumented immigrants, the newly detained youth are offered an opportunity to have their charges dropped by volunteering to provide care to the elderly. Once inside the eldercare facility, the volunteers discover the governor and the facility’s supervisor have cooked up a horrifying depraved conspiracy that endangers the young and the old in this twisted thriller-comedy.
