Today American Horror Story fans got some great news. Producer Ryan Murphy took to his Twitter account to reveal that Season 8 of American Horror Story will be a crossover of the Murder House and Coven.
“The Coven/Murder House AHS crossover season won’t be happening next year…because it’s happening THIS YEAR,” Murphy wrote. “AHS #8 WITCHES RULE THIS SEPTEMBER.”

The shows first season was titled Murder House which debuted in 2011 starring Connie Britton, Dermot Mulroney, Taissa Farmiga and Evan Peters. This season followed a family that moved into a haunted mansion in Los Angeles. Coven was the show’s third Season which aired in 2013 starring Farmiga, Peters, Sarah Paulson, Frances Conroy, Lily Rabe, Emma Roberts, Denis O’Hare, Kathy Bates and Jessica Lange. This season follows a girl who is sent to a special academy in New Orleans after discovering she is a witch.
Murphy has already revealed that Paulson, Peters and Bates would be back for the eight Season of American Horror Story. Also starring in this season will be Cheyenne Jackson, Billy Eichner, Adina Porter, Leslie Grossman and Joan Collins. Although Murphy does not like to reveal much about the plot of each season, he did mention that this season would be in the “near-distant future”.
