There aren’t that many actors and actresses that put their body on the line more than Tom Cruise. He is well known for doing his stunts to try and shoot the most realistic action sequences possible. During the filming of Mission Impossible: Fallout, they had to pause filming after he broke his ankle leaping from one rooftop to the other.
Well it looks like for his next trick in cinematography is going to be shooting a film in outer space. No that is not a typo, Cruise and Elon Musk’s Space X are working on a project with NASA according to Deadline. This would be the first narrative feature film to be shot in outer space.

According to the source, this would be an action-adventure film (no not a Mission: Impossible film). Currently there is no studio attached to the project. It’s in its early stages of planning. If they somehow pull this off, it would put Cruise in a category of his own in Hollywood history.
Out of all the actors that could pull this off, Cruise may be the one to do it. Let’s think about some of the stunts that he has done in the past. The list includes hanging from a helicopter, hanging from the side of a jet plane during takeoff, and scaling the Burj Khalifa (the Dubai skyscraper) & executing stunts 123 floors up.
I am very interested in seeing develop if in fact it’s true. Although it also does seem very dangerous and expensive. But don’t be surprised if soon after we see one of the next Fast and Furious movies also out of this world!
