Andor Filming Wraps | Barside Buzz

Rumored New Andor Details Around A Scrapper Planet | Barside Buzz

Andor filming wraps according to the folks over at Bespin Bulletin. The shoot for Andor has been a lengthy one, filming began back in November of 2020.. However there are reportedly several reasons why Andor has taken so long. One we know for a fact is that Andor is filming using mostly location shoots. This location shooting takes far longer than work done on The Volume, which was how both The Book of Boba Fett and Obi-Wan Kenobi were shot. We exclusively revealed that Obi-Wan Kenobi had wrapped exactly a week ago. Equally there are rumors that either Andor is a twelve- Episode series, or that Season 1 and Season 2 were shot back to back. Right now though, I’m not sure which of those if any is the truth personally. Although Bespin Bulletin say it is a twelve-Episode Season, so that’s who I am going with for now.

Here is what BB posted on their website. All I can tell you for confirmation is that we trust BB as a source. So if you trust us, trust them is my advice.

For context, it was Bespin Bulletin reporting that several Obi-Wan Kenobi actors had wrapped, along with another trusted insider Jordan Maison, that caused us to check on the current status of Obi-Wan Kenobi in the first place.

After speaking with multiple sources I can confirm that Andor has finally wrapped.

Last week I checked in with my Pinewood Studios sources on the Andor production on August 18th. They were very much still busy filming which I first mentioned on my podcast, BOB The Podcast earlier this week. On August 20th I checked in once again to learn that multiple cast members had wrapped, including some that had been filming for several months, but did not get confirmation that the production was finished or that leading man Diego Luna had concluded filming. However over the weekend sources gave me the green light on Luna, referenced various members of production having their own wrap parties and confirmed that filming had concluded. I’ve even been fortunate enough to see some sets being taken down.

After a long grueling shoot, I firmly believe that filming for Andor is finally over.

So which one do you think will hit screens first, Andor, or Obi-Wan Kenobi? My own guess is that Andor will have a longer post-schedule than Obi-Wan Kenobi. Equally though, I suspect any reshoots for Andor will likely happen within The Volume using existing location footage rather than having to rebuild any sets etc. I’ll therefore guess myself that Obi-Wan Kenobi will hit around April or May, however please be aware that is not using insider information, just my guess right now. I’d therefore guess that Andor will hit sometime before Fall of 2022. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

What do you think of the news that Andor filming wraps up finally, after a mammoth nine-Month shoot? Sound off below.
