Andor has wrapped folks, finally. We should also expect to see some familiar faces says Diego Luna, who plays the title role. Andor has had a mammoth shoot since November last year. Though, it’s only recently we found out why the shoot was so long. Andor Season 1 will be a 12-episode series, not the usual 6, or 8 we expect from Star Wars or Marvel.
“You’ll definitely see familiar faces,” Luna told Deadline about Andor while promoting the return of his Amazon Prime Video original series Pan Y Circo on October 8. “I can tell you about this project like no other because I can’t spoil the ending if you’ve seen Stars Wars: Rogue One already. No matter what I say, I can’t ruin the ending.”
“To be honest, it’s been such a blessing to do this job and to do it under these circumstances,” he said. “I had the chance to work with a team that I couldn’t be more proud of and admire more. It’s a hard-core moment to be out there shooting, and we were really lucky. We’re done with the shooting now and getting it ready for audiences to see it.”
He added, “While I can’t say much, what I can tell you is that the experience was literally a transformation for me. It’s something that I really wanted to do and that I thought I was not going to be able to do. I’m more than happy.”

Other than the few little set photos and videos we saw during production, I know almost nothing about Andor. Location shooting to the production to many places, some even not far from where I live. However, it’s hard to gauge exactly what kind of show Andor will be? I hope, like I always do with Star Wars, that this is an entertaining ride. I also secretly hope it’s a little darker than most Star Wars projects.
As for familiar faces, we think many of the early leading Rebels will return. We also know Mendelsohn is back as Krennic, which I’m most happy about. As for anyone else, I have a few names I have heard rumor of, but not ready to say anything yet. I think there are some mysteries yet to uncover.
What do you think of the news Andor has wrapped? We should expect familiar faces says Diego Luna, other than those I mentioned above, who could he be referring to? Sound off below as always.
