Star Wars Andor rumored to premiere this August on Disney+ according to a new report by Bespin Bulletin. The outlet posted below on social media claimed August as the estimated drop date for Andor within Disney’s schedule. Check it out.
‘Ms. Marvel’ kicks off on June 8th. ‘Andor’ will be the next tentpole Disney+ series after Ms. Marvel. I always heard August, and I won’t be surprised if it’s still there even though ‘Ms. Marvel’ is coming slightly earlier than Disney previously mentioned. https://t.co/sCIA8O6PHg

Whilst this is hardly a smoking gun, there is a lot of sense in an August release for Andor. I can’t think what would have Lucasfilm and Disney change their mind since the outlet heard this information initially. However you never can be 100% sure with release dates until they are made official.
Andor is still rumored to have a 12-Episode Season 1, not the usual 6-8. Andor was also filming far longer than any of the other Star Wars Disney+ shows that use The Volume. Instead Andor mostly filmed on location and that shoot lasted a heck of a long time.

So could we finally see Andor this August? It’s a good bet we will, however until it is made official we wait with baited breath. There is certainly far more hype currently for Obi-Wan Kenobi, but given the content expected from that show is that any wonder? Andor seems to be less hyped among the fan base, but that could easily change with a first trailer. Season 2 of Andor is still expected, though no word on any possible shoot dates for that so far. I doubt anything will push ahead with Season 2 until Season 1 reactions are gauged.
I’m still not quite sure what to expect from Andor? I mean I have an idea of what I’d like to see and I hope based on some of the BTS images and reports we have seen it’ll cover my bases, but who knows for sure?
