Angelina Jolie In Talks To Join Marvel Studio’s The Eternals

We are so close to Marvel Studio’s Avengers: Endgame and with that said the studio is hard at work with the next phase of Marvel Comics inspired films. One of the films is The Eternals, based on the Jack Kirby book about super powered and almost immortal beings called Eternals and the Deviants that were created by the cosmic beings known as Celestials.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Angelina Jolie is in talks to star in The Eternals. This would be Jolie’s first role is a superhero film, but not her first comic book film as she starred in the 2007 film adaptation of Mark Millar’s Wanted. Currently her role in the film is unknown, but according to the source one aspect of the story involves the story between Ikaris and Sersi.

The Eternals is being directed by Chloe Zhao, who is an award winning indie director who helmed The Rider and Songs My Brothers Taught Me. The script is by Matthew and Ryan Firpo. Jolie is currently working with Disney on the sequel Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, which recently had been moved up to spring of 2020. Also she is working on The One and Only Ivan, which she is also producing and soon will be on her next project titled Called Away, a fantasy Drama from Brenda Chapman.

Although we really don’t have any details on which character she would play, do you think this film is a good fit for her? Or is there another Marvel property you think she should star in? Let us know in the comment section below!

Marvel Studio’s next release will be Avengers: Endgame in theaters April 26th, 2019.
