Anna Rust Talks Carnival Row, Legends and Video Game Voice Acting [Exclusive Interview]

Anna Rust played various roles in her career. And none of her roles are alike.

Her acting career started fairly young as Katya on a television mini-series of Doctor Zhivago and then later as Sister Grimm in 2005’s The Brothers Grimm that starred Matt Damon and Heath Ledger.

Nearly a decade later, she scored to play Khava Bazaeva in TNT’s Legends as a terrorist recruiter. Then she played the young Mechtild in the period romantic film Ophelia that starred Daisy Ridley.

Her biggest role to date on screen was with the faerie Fleury in Amazon Prime’s first season of Carnival Row. The faerie sex worker made quite an impression at the whore house Tetterby Hotel with certain memorable scenes.

Over the years, Anna Rust diversified her acting skills into video game voice acting. She started with the Oculus Touch’s Arktika.1, a highly immersive, action-packed, first-person shooter game as the voice of Viktoria. Then she lends her voice to multiple characters for Star Wars: Battlefront II, Battlefield V, and Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers as Gaia. Most recently, she boarded in many voice roles for last year’s most anticipated video game Cyberpunk 2077.
