Ant-Man And The Wasp Director Says Yellowjacket Could Be Floating Around The Quantum Realm

With all the excitement surrounding Ant-Man and the Wasp, director of the film Peyton Reed (who also directed the first Ant-Man film) discussed the villain from the first Ant-Man, Yellowjacket, while appearing on the ScreenJunkies’ Honest Reactions show, and gave fans of the character hope that the character may still be somewhere in the Quantum Realm.

“Well, I mean, you guys are making a massive assumption. There’s an assumption here that I’m not quite comfortable with. If you watch his death in the first Ant-Man, the suit is compromised…he shrinks and goes into a thing. I mean, he could be somewhere down there in that Quantum Realm.”

Who knows what all could be in the Quantum Realm, a lot of things could be in there, Henry Cavill’s mustache, Luke Skywalker, and perhaps even the ever elusive Zack Snyder cut of Justice League is in there somewhere. While it is, of course, possible Yellowjacket could show up again in the future, he was sort of a standard, cookie-cutter Marvel villain, and the idea of him returning isn’t all that exciting, and while Reed leaves the door open, the Yellowjacket’s return seems unlikely.
