Ant-Man and the Wasp is slated for a July 2018 release. Paul Rudd will return to play the title character. Evangeline Lilly and Michael Douglas will also reprise their roles as Hope van Dyne and Hank Pym, along with Michael Peña returning as Luis. Newcomers joining the cast this time around will be Laurence Fishburne, Walton Goggins, and Judy Greer. The film’s synopsis follows below:
“As Scott Lang balances being both a Super Hero and a father, Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym present an urgent new mission that finds the Ant-Man fighting alongside The Wasp to uncover secrets from their past.”
The first Ant-Man film brought in nearly $520 million worldwide on a $130 million-dollar budget. Marvel was able to take what some may consider a silly concept and make it fun and cool. Back when Marvel first announced they were doing an Ant-Man movie, I have to admit I was skeptical as to whether or not it was a good idea, needless to say I enjoyed the film and am anxiously awaiting the sequel.
