Apple: New Report Hints At Trouble For Titan’s Original Streaming Service And Content

I’ve said it many times: 2019 will be the year we’re streaming services become just a little too unwieldy for the common man. Sure, maybe most people will be able to afford a couple more of them, but very quickly consumers will have an idea of which ones are worth keeping and which ones need to be drop kicked to the curb. One of the many names set through their hats in the ring streaming services is none other than the tech giant Apple.

Well, I don’t really have much experience in terms of streaming or original contents, for the past couple years they have been spending a lot of money and resources locking down grade-A talent for their upcoming service. So things have been looking optimistic, and that’s not even mentioning the rumors that users with Apple Devices will be able to access their content free of charge. But, if the new report from the New York Post is to be believed, things may not be going as smoothly as they would like us to think.

According to the report, Apple’s tech execs have been incredibly intrusive in the production process of their original projects. This includes the company’s CEO Tim Cook. The outlet states Apple is “difficult” to deal with and that there is a “lack of transparency,” “lack of clarity” from the intrusive executives.

Tim Cook is supposedly even giving notes on projects, one producer revealed to the outlet, with one of the notes being “don’t be so mean.” It’s unclear what that note is referring to. Does it have to do with the content, the producers’ interaction with executives, or the treatment with the crew on set? That’s unclear. Regardless, all this interference has led to their content and service being delayed.

“They are making big changes, firing and hiring new writers,” one producer told the outlet. “There’s a lack of clarity on what they want. A lot of the product is not as good as they hoped it to be.”

Perhaps most interesting are the statements of what Apple is looking for in their content. For starters, it looks like they’re trying to be a family-friendly service, and therefore don’t want to tackle any really big subjects like religion. Additionally, they want their content to give a positive perspective on technology, and therefore don’t like the idea of showing the negative consequences of said technology.

The result? Instead of Apple unveiling their service this month as supposedly planned, it will likely be delayed until around the end of the year. What do you think of this whole report? Do you think Apple is in trouble? Let us know your thoughts down below.
