Apple TV+ Reveals Exclusive Preview Of Palm Royale

Apple TV+ has unveiled a sneak peek of their latest series, Palm Royale, set against the backdrop of the opulent Palm Beach. The cast, led by Emmy and Academy Award nominee Kristen Wiig, includes the talents of Oscar and Emmy winners Laura Dern and Allison Janney, alongside Ricky Martin, Josh Lucas, Leslie Bibb, Amber Chardae Robinson, Mindy Cohn, Julia Duffy, and Kaia Gerber. Adding to the allure, the legendary Bruce Dern and the iconic Carol Burnett make special guest appearances.

Palm Royale is slated to make its global debut on Apple TV+ with the premiere of its first three episodes on March 20, 2024. Following the launch, viewers can expect new episodes every Wednesday until May 8.

Palm Royale weaves a compelling narrative, centered around Maxine Simmons, portrayed by Kristen Wiig, in a true underdog story. The series delves into Maxine’s relentless pursuit to infiltrate Palm Beach high society, prompting viewers to reflect on the timeless question: “How much of yourself are you willing to sacrifice to attain what someone else possesses?” Against the backdrop of the tumultuous year 1969, Palm Royale captures the essence of every outsider’s struggle for acceptance and belonging.

Loosely inspired by Juliet McDaniel’s novel “Mr. and Mrs. American Pie” and produced by Apple Studios, Palm Royale boasts the creative prowess of Abe Sylvia, who serves as the writer, executive producer, and showrunner for Aunt Sylvia’s Moving Picture Company. The executive production team includes Laura Dern and Jayme Lemons for Jaywalker Pictures, Kristen Wiig, Katie O’Connell Marsh, Tate Taylor, John Norris for Wyolah Films, Sharr White, Sheri Holman, and Boat Rocker. The series is skillfully directed by Taylor, Sylvia, Claire Scanlon, and Stephanie Laing.
